2006 Argyle Willamette Valley, Oregon Pinot Noir
Oregon is situated in the north west of the USA and is characterised by
white-peaked mountains, deep river canyons and endless amounts of green
alongside high-desert prairies and volcanic rock formations. Every thing
about this 40 year old gravel region, sings Pinot Noir, Gris and Blanc.
Argyle is listed in wine spectator every year and for good reason.
This wine is one in a series of Pinot's produced by the Argyle winery. The
2006 Pinot Noir is lighter in style with a spiced cherry set of aromas. In
the mouth its all about layers of complexity laden with raspberries and
bitter chocolate and mild acids alongside good balance and length.
