Marlborough is New Zealand's largest winemaking region, with around 110 wineries and over 12,000 hectares planted in grapes. The region produces about 79% of the nation's wine output.
Located at the northeast tip of the South Island of New Zealand, Marlborough is a place of raw natural beauty, The region's sunny skies and crisp cool weather ensures gradual ripening of Chardonnay fruit, allowing the full array of complex flavours to be realised. The fruit achieves excellent balance and refreshing natural acidity. The Chardonnay vines are now fully mature with some of our oldest vines over 20 years old, These 'older' vines provide fruit with natural weight, minerality and bright acidity.Cellaring; Drinking now and over the next 3 years

"Determinedly dry and savoury with the lightest of oaky top dressings. Full, rich panoply of sweet fruit on the front palate and real zest. An extremely complex wine. Long with great layers. A honeyed element to it plus cough medicine spice. Very engrossing. Winemaker Ben Glover is clearly doing a great job here."09 Jancis Robinson
