Zinfandel
Description:
Zinfandel has bold and brassy red, offers plenty of plum-cake and swet, spicy flaovurs, abundant ripe-skin tannins and good amount of alcohol - up to 16%.
Origins are from Croatia, but it's a hero of California. Warm friendly variety with masses of juicy fruit flavours, mulberry, dark plums and wild blackberries.
Food to enjoy with:
Good bet for bbq'd meats. Also nice with dense, flourless chocolate cake.
