Intermediate Red Wine Course

Over this four week course we will:
  • Review and assess each of the dominant (new world) red varietals: Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.

  • Discern between the regions these wines hail from: Understand first hand why a Shiraz from the Barossa Valley tastes different from a Shiraz from the Hunter Valley, or a Syrah from the Rhone

  • Discern specific varietal traits using the latest olfactory kits

    • Including an assessment of the nuances in aroma and oak treatment

  • The course will assess both Old and New World wines; however the focus will be on Australian wines. Each night will include as assessment of six to ten premium wines.

An intermediate level of learning* is required to attend Armadale Cellar's "Intermediate Red Wine Course".

Investment: $199

Our next course starts October 7th, 2010

The course is limited in numbers. To learn more or book into this exciting new course contact or ring us at 9509-3055.

* Customers who have completed the Intro to Wine Course will have an appropriate understanding of wine to attend our intermediate level courses.
