Of the myriad styles of rose, none is more admired and loved than the
pale salmon pink, bone dry wines of southern France. From St Tropez
to Perpignan, dry rose is an inextricable part of the culture and
lifestyle of France's Mediterranean coast.
Imported exclusively by Armadale Cellars, Alma Cersius 'Le Rose' 2017 is
all one could want in a bottle of rose. Pale salmon pink in
appearance, it boasts an enticing and lifted bouquet marked by summer
berry fruit and apricot blossom. Light, dry and fresh, it is the
sort of wine that says 'drink me'!
We are offering Alma Cersius 'Le Rose' for a mere $18 per bottle when
purchased in dozen quantities. By any measure, this is a bargain
price for a high quality French rose. We reckon that it is
more than a match for the multitude of far more expensive roses that
proliferate in Australia today.
(Offer price - $18 per bottle in a straight dozen)
Classic southern French rose from the Coteaux de Beziers in the
Languedoc. Blend of Syrah, Cinsault and Grenache, harvested late at
night and fermented cool to preserve freshness and brightness.
"Tall skinny-skittle-shaped bottle. Pale prawn-shell pink. Floral,
watercolour nose - jasmine and spring strawberries. Almost minty fresh on
the palate. Very lifted and dancing! Lemony fruit with a touch of parma
violet and the lightest trace of strawberries. Bright lemon-drop acid.
Not complex or long but it's fun and light-hearted."
