Bosquet des Papes Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee Tradition Rouge 2021 (3 x 750ml)
Nicolas Boiron and his family run Bosquet des Papes. They own 32 hectares
of vines inside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Vineyards are
scattered over 45 parcels in places such as La Gardiole, Pignan,
Monpertuis and the Plateau de Mont Redon, where the oldest vines are well
over 100 years old.
The 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Tradition is composed of
75% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and the rest other permitted
varieties. It is pale ruby in color and opens with ripe aromas of
cranberry, red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, cedar, cloves and some
herbaceous funkiness resulting from the partial whole-bunch fermentation.
Full-bodied and enveloped in ripe tannins, this is a well-structured and
distinctively elegant wine from the Boiron family.

Sweet blue and brambly red fruits are up front in this red, detailed
with black licorice, singed garrigue and violet perfume. The palate is
silky, with iron underpinnings and tangy orange peel acidity moving
through, with hints of dusty earth, toasted alder and light mocha. Shows
good density.
