Chateau de Laubade Armagnac 1963
The nose is aromatic and offers gourmandize as well as a fine creaminess.
It reveals notes of caramelized apple, stewed peach and small notes of
caramelized mandarin associated with small touches of cedar, dried zest, a
hint of dried fruit, dried white flowers as well as hints of Bourbon
vanilla clove and a subtle hint of peat (in the background). The palate is
mineral, elegant, fruity and offers volume, a beautiful matter, a beautiful
definition, finesse, elegance, a fine creaminess as well as a beautiful
aerial side in its richness / in its matter. On the palate, this Armagnac
expresses notes of caramelized apple, crushed / jammy small white fruits
and small notes of caramelization associated with touches of crystallized
mandarin, pâtisseries, hints of toasted almonds, nutmeg as well as a
subtle hint of vanilla cream and a discreet almost coconut hint (in the
background)." - 93 - 94/100 , VertdeVin
