"I love how unforced this chardonnay is. I love the way its texture, which is quite plush, feels as though it's a part of the wine rather than an extra. I also love the fact that flavour-wise we're in pure stonefruit territory, sans citrus. The oak in play is both creamy and smoky, almost bacon-like, and the finish has a tautness but a slight one. A small firecracker, Tom Thumb-like, goes off on the finish, adding an extra crack of complexities, but again, nothing overt. It's elegant, generous and honed at once. This vineyard, and winemaker, just keep putting out the hits."
