Domaine de l'Enchantoir is run by the Brunet family in the new
sub-appellation of Saumur-Puy-Notre-Dame. Distinguished from the rest of
Saumur, Puy-Notre-Dame plantings sit between 50-150 meters, relatively
high by Loire standards.
The winery has been certified organic since 2010. 'Le Pied' is 100%
Cabernet Franc planted on the hard limestone known as tuffeaux with very
little top soil.
The wine is fermented using native yeasts in tank with no additions and a
minimal amount of SO2 at bottling. This is classic and honest Cabernet
