A place of refuge for the deer who come to nibble the ripe grapes, it is on the foothills of the Brossay plateau, ancient lands of flint and iron from the Jurassic period, that Cabernet Franc vines grow, and create the origin of this Saumur red.

Winery tasting note

Bright crimson in appearance.   Alluring aromatics of pencil shavings/graphite, dried herbs, crème de mure and blackcurrant.  Wonderful perfume and lift.   Medium bodied, very suave and svelte - lovely cashmere-like mouthfeel.   In terms of flavour, the bouquet flows through to the palate, showcasing a wonderful interplay of elegant red and black fruits interwoven with dried herbs and graphite.  Tannins and fine and lithe.   Utterly beguiling.   Drink now and up to 5 years.
