Giaconda Nantua Shiraz 2019 (6 x 750ml)
Made with fruit sourced from the exceptional Warner Vineyard. There
is plenty to like here and the extended time in bottle has enabled this
wine to put on weight: now quite rich with a touch of briar.
Saturated deep crimson hue: developing secondary notes of undergrowth
washing through the briary laden black currant and black cherry fruit.
Forest floor notes are further enhanced by the presence of black pepper,
graphite and a spicy oak orange zest infusion. Time in bottle has enabled
it to put on weight: now quite rich with a touch of briar and olive
tapenade adding to the palate. The fine integrated savoury tannins giving
a clear frame to the wine and ensuring it lingers on the palate.
