Howard Park Jete Brut NV
Pale lemon in the glass with a fine bead, this Western Australian sparkling
wine captures ethereal orchard fruit freshness underpinned by hints of
cashew nut and freshly baked brioche. Notes of oyster shell salinity, white
blossom, lemon meringue, straw, custard apples, and white raspberry add
complexity and depth to the enthralling bouquet. The palate is marked by a
tantalising, bright acidity and elegant, yet creamy mousse concluding in a
dry finish.
Winery tasting note
"Medium yellow, bright colour. Complex smoky, toasty and rubbery notes with roasted hazelnut chiming in. It's rich and full in the mouth, soft and balanced, superbly harmonious and long, with beautiful texture and completeness. Absolutely nails a serious but accessible NV style."
Huon Hooke, The Real Review
"Winemaker Jeff Burch has put a lot into his sparkling wines and it really is starting to pay dividends. It's made from chardonnay and gets time in oak before 24 months on yeast lees to develop that sparkling wine complexity."
