Impenetrable crimson in appearance. Aromatically the wine leaps
out of the glass - intensely aromatic compote of black, blue and red berry
fruit.. Notes of woodsmoke, camphor and subtle sweet vanillin.
In the mouth very svelte, fine and polish. Glorious texture and
mouthfeel. The tannins are there but they are so so fine and
brilliantly managed. Rich and powerful, with tremendous breadth and
volume, yet does not feel overdone or heavy. Finishes extremely long
- the proverbial 60-second finish! Stunning now, will be glorious if
you are happy to wait a decade or so.
