Wild Duck Creek Springflat Shiraz 2019 (3 x 750ml)

A blend of five specific sites, three in the North and two in the south of the region. An average of 20% whole bunches were retained in the ferments to add layered aromatics and texture. Dark red in colour. Aromas of dark red fruits, spice and earthenware. The nose is super complex, with the dense ripe fruit being the feature. Alluring fleshy flavours of red and blue fruits, damson plum, seared beef and liqueur cherries carried through by the delightful natural acidity. The exuberant yet super fine tannins are a real highlight. The 2019 Springflat Shiraz has wonderful length. The new oak component is beautifully integrated into the fruit bringing poise and drive. It was matured 40% new French and American oak barriques and hogsheads for 24 months. Suggested best drinking from 2023 - 2029+.
Winery tasting note

Made from fruit drawn from five vineyards, Blackberry, graphite and spicy oak drive the nose. Full bodied and full blooded yet maintains a sense of restraint.  An exotic palate of blood plums and blueberries together with bay leaf and dried herbs.
